The concepts of rebirth and renewal are quite obvious and literal here as a Big Buddha Maintenance Crew puts the final touches on this monument near Inle Lake, but when I first came across this scene I thought not of Buddha and the holy book of Tripitaka but of Jonathan Swift and Gulliver's Travels.
