Fantastic ancient oak tree in northern Tuscany where locals say witches used to gather, and maybe still do.
 
While I was there I actually saw a black cat staring at the Tree, perhaps getting or giving instructions. 
 
The tree is also supposedly the one featured in the Pinocchio story, in the scene where the wooden boy gets hanged by assassins wanting his gold coins. The author was from a nearby village.
