A walk through the snowy woods near Arslanbob brought me to a clearing where local men were playing this fierce sport for honor, vodka, and prizes that included men's dress shirts and tupperware. A lot of spectators take to the trees for safety. (You can see them in the photo). This is a good idea. One second after I shot this image I had to run like hell and jump into a ditch as I suddenly realized all of the action was headed straight for me.
