A Lone Boatman Drifts Past the Taj Mahal, India

I got lucky. I arose at 0400 and then sped on an old rented rickety 'Hero' bicycle through Agra and then across a bridge and through some villages to finally reach Katchpura near the Mehtab Bagh gardens. Approximately 17 village dogs gave chase during this ride, and had to be warned off by me swinging my tripod over my head with one hand as I steered the Hero with the other. The sun was rising on one of the world's most wondrous buildings. The level of the Yamuna river was good. The reflection was nice. A red-shirted ferryman moved through the mist as the day's first rays roused the Taj awake. Fantastic in every sense of the word.
